data-end=\"1178\"\u003e今日も、琥珀の大気の奥深くにそっと輝き続けている。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e--------------------------------------------------------------\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e作品のコンセプト\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e日本のうつわには、人の身体の名称が用いられることがあります。たとえば、器の縁は「口」、中央のふくらみは「胴」、くびれた部分は「腰」、底部は「足」や「高台」と呼ばれています。こうした呼び名は、器をただの道具ではなく、ひとつの“身体”としてとらえる日本独自の感性を反映しているように思います。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e私は、こうした器の呼び方に出会ったとき、すぐに「この器は生きている」と感じました。手のひらに乗せたときの重さや、形のバランス、口の開き具合までもが、まるでその器の“性格”のように思えてくる。だから器に料理を盛りつけるときも、私はどこかでその器の気持ちに耳を傾けているのかもしれません。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e室町時代に描かれた絵巻『付喪神記』には、長年使われた道具たちが妖怪となって現れ、夜の町を行進する様子がユーモラスに描かれています。鍋や釜、木魚、鰐口といった日用品が、命を得たように踊り出すその光景に、私は初めて見たときから心を奪われました。そこに描かれていたのは、日本人が昔から抱いてきた「モノには魂が宿る」というまなざしそのものだと思います。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e日本には「八百万の神」という考え方があります。自然のすべてに神が宿るように、日々使う器や道具にも、心があると私は感じています。たとえ器の一部が欠けてしまっても、金継ぎを施すことでさらに魅力を増し、新たな物語を持つようになる。私は、それがまるで子どもを育てるような行為だと思っています。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eこうした“モノとの関係”のなかで、私は作品をつくっています。器をモチーフにしたキャラクター「ワビーニョ」「サビーニャ」たちは、器と向き合い、対話するように生まれてきました。命を感じるモノたちと暮らす楽しさを、私はこれからも作品の中で育てていきたいと思っています。\u0026amp;nbsp; for parts of a ceramic vessel to be described using terms from the human body. The rim is called the “mouth,” the rounded middle “body,” the narrowing section “waist,” and the bottom is referred to as the “foot” or “base.” These expressions reflect a uniquely Japanese sensibility—one that sees a vessel not simply as an object, but as a kind of living body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I first encountered this way of describing ceramics, I immediately felt, “This vessel is alive.” The weight in the palm of my hand, the balance of its form, even the angle of its opening—all of it seemed to express a kind of personality. That may be why, when I plate food onto a dish, I find myself instinctively listening to the vessel’s quiet presence, as if to its feelings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of my inspirations is a picture scroll from the Muromachi period called Tsukumogami-ki, which depicts old household tools—pots, kettles, temple instruments—transforming into spirited beings and marching joyfully through the night. From the moment I saw it, I was captivated. The scene perfectly embodies a deep-rooted Japanese worldview: the belief that all things, even tools and everyday items, possess a soul.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is closely tied to the concept of “Yaoyorozu no Kami”—the belief that deities dwell in all things, from mountains and rivers to humble objects we use every day. I’ve come to feel that even vessels and utensils carry a heart of their own. When a piece becomes chipped or broken, it is often mended using kintsugi, a traditional technique that repairs the damage with lacquer mixed with gold or silver. Rather than hide the flaw, it honors it, giving the object a new beauty and a new story. To me, it feels like nurturing a child—cherishing it as it grows and changes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis philosophy of forming a relationship with objects is at the core of my creative practice. The characters “Wabinho” and “Sabinha” were born from such a dialogue with vessels. They embody the spirit of ceramics—each one with its own voice, its own quiet life.
